Air Max 1 Atmos “Tiger Camo x Snakeskin”
Japanese retailer atmos has a way of creating unparalleled collabs with Nike Sportswear and the Nike Air Max 1 x atmos “Tiger Camo x Snakeskin” is further proof. By the time the “Tiger Camo x Snakeskin AM1 released in 2013, atmos already had upwards of half a dozen incredibly popular Air Max designs under their belt.
Like most of the atmos designs, the Tiger Camo x Snakeskin Air Max 1 is bold, in both colors and materials chosen for its design. The colorway, also known as “Army Camo” by some, features a black toebox, Swoosh and overlay made up of shiny patent snakeskin finish with “Tiger Camo” in dark green and olive hues wrapped around the mud guard and collar.
Red Nike Air logos on the tongue and heel then add some flare, while the always popular white midsole option brings the colorway together. While the original Air Max 1 may have released in 1987 and broke traditional thinking with its clear Air unit in the heel, it’s collaborators like Japan-based atmos that keep the energy high around modern Air Max 1 retro releases.
While the Nike Air Max 1 x atmos “Tiger Camo x Snakeskin” could stand on its own, atmos released this colorway alongside another AM1 featuring both military and animal themes and that harken back to the “Supreme Beast” release back in 2006.
